This story is not a typical ghost story and involves my younger brother Courtney. My brother relayed this story to me several days after it had occurred. The events I will now describe took place 7 or 8 years ago when Courtney was in High school.
One night whilst home alone Courtney realized that he had not put his bike away in the back shed. The back shed was a mid sized,tin, three room affair that was similar in appearance to a small house. Courtney wheeled his bike out towards the shed, opened one of the sheds doors and walked inside. It was once inside that he noticed a number of moving lights out of the corner of his eye. Courtney turned towards the lights and saw that they began in mid air and stretched in a number of directions. Courtney describes these lights as being laser like in appearance. I cannot remember the colours of these lights but I do remember Courtney telling me that there were several differently coloured 'lasers'. The lights were aproximately 1 to 2 cm in diameter. Courtney described several of these slow moving lights as tracking over his body. This was accompanied by a physical sensation of some sort as Courtney told me that he could feel the 'lasers' tracking over him for much of that night. Once back inside the house Courtney could no longer see the lights in the shed but the discomforting feeling of lasers tracking over him remained.
When I asked my mother about Courtney's story she told me that he was visibly shaken and obviously very scared. He was so afraid that after the occurrence he had brought his dog inside for protection. I asked my mother whether she believed his story. She told me that it was obvious that Courtney was very frightened and that she believed he had experienced something. She had no idea as to what he had experienced though.
In trying to find some explanation for these events I should say that Courtney was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol that night and that he has never had a mental illness. The only possible explanation I could come up with at the time was that a car had possibly driven by at the time and the head lights had shone through small holes in the shed walls,thus giving the appearance of 'lasers'.I'm not convinced by this explanation. To this day I'm not sure what my brother experienced but he's adamant about the truth of his experience.
