Before I begin, I'm from the Netherlands, so my english is probably not that good, but anyway...
I lived with my mom in an appartment for about 16 years(i'm 22 now) and nothing strange had happened except for the last 2 years I lived there. My mom had to work late for a couple of months, so I was home alone. I just came from a friend and I entered the front door. I wanted to go into the livingroom, but somethin was blocking the handle. I thought it was my mom who came back early from work, but the door was partly glass, so I looked at the otherside but couldn't see anybody. I found it very strange,so I tried to enter the livingroom through the bathroom(this was a small appartement)but that door was also closed. I then moved back to the other door and saw a man looking at me from the other side. He was holding the handle down and he was smiling. Ofcourse I didn't think it was a ghost, I thought it was a burgler! I then had the feeling the man was playing around with me, cuz whenever I ran back to the bathroom he would be blocking that door too!!
I then called my friend next door, who is a big man, he saw the same guy to, and tried to scare him off with a baseball bat. My neighbour accidentally broke the glass in the door and at that moment, we could open the door without any problem. We searched the house, but never found anyone...a few days later, I went into the shed (like I sais, my english is not that good,so I don't know what to call it) to get my bike.
I saw the same man smiling at me again, but for some reason i wasn't scared, he just smiled at me and I smiled back. At that moment he left through the back door and I never saw him again..My mom had a picture of her father when he was in the military. I never saw this picture before so I was very curious..It was the same man I saw in my house and in the shed!! I told my mom the story and she wasn't surprised at all..she told me her father would often joke around with her by holding the doorhandle when she wanted to get into the room..........
