My story happened in 1978, 20 yrs ago. I had rented an apt in the Montrose area in downtown Houston, Texas. At that time it wasnt a bad place to live. Lots of neet resturants and shops of all kinds everywhere you look. All of the houses in that area were old and some were beautiful. Montrose had a romanic atmosphere with lots to do there. The house I lived in was divided into 6 apts. My landlady lived in the apt next to mine. I really thought I had the best place because I had the huge front porch entrance, with a grand piano and a fireplace in the living room. Everyone else who lived there had to go around back to get to there apts. The bedrooms and kitchen and bath were upstairs. SO many times I would find my daughter stareing up the stairs at the balcony. She was 2 yrs old. Children are very sinsitive to paranormal stuff. More so than grown-ups. One night around 3am my boyfriend jumps up out of his sleep all freaked out. I said whats wrong honey.? He said theres a ghost standing by your side of the bed and it looks like a man.
OK. Well, it took all of 30 seconds to jump up, get dressed, grab the baby and run out of the house to the car parked out in front. We drove to a doughnut shop and drank coffee until the sun came up. Another time about a month later I was alone in the house. I was doing some work on my painting project in the living. It was about 930pm. When suddenly I felt a mans breathe and moaning in my left ear. Well, I freaked badly. I ran out of the house with no shoes or coat on, and it was in the winter time. I ran about two blks before I could calm down. I found a phone and called my boyfriend at work. He wasnt real surprised, he said he was having second thoughts about staying there any longer. the following day I started asking the landlady if she was noticeing any thing funny going on in her apt. Thats when she told me she was having seaounces at her place. She said she wanted to help the lost souls in the house reach the other side. She said the house used to be an Insane Asslym before she bought it in 1949. And she felt sorry for the souls that never crossed over after their death. I then told her in a very angry voice, well they are coming over to our side of the house. We ended up moving at the end of the month. I cant live like that, could you? Its 20 years later and Im proud to say nothing like that ever happened to us again. Thank GOD.
