Anthony Arisco
Poem

Sasha

Her tiny feet tap out the time
That passes through her perfect day.
Inside she beats a heart of rhyme,
A looking glass of loves' sweet way.

She has one thought inside her head,
Although a whim may catch her eye.
To sit beside her master's bed
And croon a canine lullaby.

With each spring that comes and goes
Her steadfast faith grows ever wide.
Though in her whiskers silver shows
She's every ounce of gold inside.

A truer pet has never been,
So close to all within her path.
A glorious mix of love and sheen.
A shining light that God has cast.
