Poem

Whisper in the Night

Whispers in the night I hear,
The words you sang to me,
So long ago in a distant dream,
before you set me free.

Whispers in the night I fear,
They seem so close at hand,
A love so intense it's lives,
Deep within dreamland.

Whispers in the night can kill,
And take your breath away,
Sneaking in when you feel safe,
That's just the price you pay.

Whispers in the night do sing,
A lonely lovers song,
They reach in trough darkness,
And linger `til sweet dawn.

Whispers in the night come here,
To remind me of your love,
They speak to me in many tongues,
Racing down from the heavens above.

Whispers in the night chase me,
Through endless hoops of fire,
They know just where to find my soul,
And all my most secret desires.
