Poem

Progress

Motionless bodies lying on a crystal lined beach
soaking up the same atmosphere.
A burning sensation driving us forward
What fragile dolls we are
living life through someone else's eyes.
Afraid to act for fear of offense,
falling farther forward than stumbling
backwards.
We struggle to maintain the ties that
bond us together.
