Poem

Spring Heeled Jack

Lights beating down on me
Music surging through my raging veins
Screams of fans all watching me...
I fade into the stage,
I dance to a rhythm which is all my own.
Another night, another town.
Clubs fade into the landscape of
the people I meet, the beers we share,
the highways I travel, the lessons I learn.
Life on the road is full of repetition, yet full of
surprise.
The guy from London, the girl with the Tashiki.
She said she bought it in New Hope.
She liked my silver pants and my pink hair
.I liked her because she reminded me of my girlfriend.
But what else could I do?
Life on the road is full of surprise.
