In scripture I find allegories
Are used from time to time.
To me this means acceptable
So I'll give you one of mine.
Man's life is like a pebble
Cast into a lake;
The waves go ever outward
Till on the shore they break.
Some waves are big and boisterous
While some are quiet and small,
But never lived a person
Who made no wave at all.
Some waves blend with others
And together they grow strong,
While others not compatible
Cause neighbor's to go wrong.
So if you want your neighbor's wave
To break as golden tide,
Make waves of love that cannot cause
Your neighbor's to subside.
For the one who throws the pebbles
Upon the shore does stand,
To cheer your wave's progress
As it helps it's fellowman.
