Poem

Webs

Once again I sit, pen in hand
Spinning webs of fantasy
Masking the reality
A life without you

A sad smile tugs
Tearing my eyes
I wrestle the truth
Of you and I

Our eyes; never locked
Our hands; never laced
Our lips; never to touch
There lies the truth
I deny in dreams

Closing my eyes
I indulge once more

Your hands; warming my skin
Your lips; catching my breath
Your weight; exploding my senses

Beautiful dreams dance me
Well past midnight
Shattering all hope
Of sleep
