Poem

Intimate Strangers

Someday we may pass on a street
of some distant ground or time,
cautiously pacing each footstep
for appointments of no great worth.

Perhaps one will notice the other
and remember the past with regret,
or the careless steps from here that ended
with strangers on the street.
