Poem

Rain Fell Through the Night

Rain Fell Through the Night
and
all night
I calmly dreamed
of a still dark lake
which
echoed my past and future
which lapped
my inner shores
and gave me voice
through love
to sing of life

Rain Fell Through the Night
and
the dawn
came from lofty cloud caps
as white reflected light
and
beneath a plum tree
gentle drops of
nectar-sweet water
blessed me
where I lay
upon
a bed of pink wet petals

Rain Fell Through the Night
and
all day long
I gathered all of the echoes
of
all of my dream
and smiled at the
oneness of dark lakes and rain
and wet pink blossoms
in my hair
and
my love and my life and my time
