One sole solitary tree
Surrounded by nothingness
Slowly
Becomes enveloped
In a warming sea
Of deepest reds
Sparkling waters
Take on a violet hue
Rippling the reflections
Off its surface
Crystalline blades of grass
Misted with dew
Glitter
Against the dark surroundings
As the light grows
Tall, full blossoms
Varying in colors
Splatter the earth
As far as they eye can see
Sounds of the world
Awakening
From deepest slumbers
Chirping of birds
Fluttering in the dense brush
Whisperings of the wind
As it softly caresses
All it passes
Babblings
Of the narrow stream
As it wanders
Amongst these sights and sounds
A rock here
A bend there
Wandering and changing
Until it comes across
A lone soul
Just one
Amidst the darkness
Becoming light
Feeling oneself awakening
Knowing a new day
Has arrived
The past is gone
Sitting alone
Admiring the pure beauty
That surrounds her
Feeling the peace
She has searched for
And can be found
Nowhere else
Remembering
All that once was
The roughness
The lies
Sharp, unnatural buildings
Feelings of entrapment
The constant quibbling
Over insignificant things
Done by all
And accepted as normal
How the days
And the nights
All the same
None ever different
Bombardments
Of pointless tasks
And now,
Now there is peace
No regrets
Just peace
And a oneness with thyself.
