Poem

Sometimes Fireflies Spontaneously Combust

Sometimes fireflies
spontaneously combust.
sometimes,
God calls you
Icarus
amidst the vague memories
of a Tuesday
Slumber,
but you never
hear his voice
Only feel the
soft magic of existence
inside somehow
in relevance to the infinite
and calmly you
breathe
and slowly you
grow
one day closer
to him
one breath at a time
casting away
the wasted moments
and grasping your happiness
as a lifeline
to his arms
