Poem

Honeyed Walls

I lie here in the after glow...of honey on my walls
The shadows leap in golden hues as night shades gently fall
The evening glow of summertime...the silence of the marsh
Peach hues bounce from sprays...of natures own air brush
The distant rock of waves that lap against a swaying dock
From tides that come and go with ease...steady as a rock
The sunset speaks a quiet hum to souls that need a rest
As evening whispers through a breeze and flows across my chest
I breath in deep the colors of cherished summer glows
It fills my being...so complete...and enriches all my pores
Energies of quiet sparks leap from prisms deep
And marshes fade into the night as nature bids us sleep
