I love you more than banana pudding...than fresh juicy raspberries...cool clean celery...peanut butter and jelly...chocolate covered strawberries...a 'dayum' good raise with perks...a snow capped mountain...the vee of ocean birds...the warm sun of the first day of spring and the chance to sleep late...

I love you more than real cream for my coffee...the cool tide around my ankles and even the tickle as the tide turns the sand to mush under my feet and the feel of sinking when the sand washes away...a new shell in the early morning...a clean beach before the others get there...

I love you more than a flock of Guinea Hens calling in a valley...the cool mountain air when the chill complains for hot cocoa or tea...the moist moss growing next to a creek...the smell of fresh mud and the wonderful things that move under a rock...

I love you more than a lazy afternoon in a chaise...sun on my face and a good book...a field of sunflowers waving in the sunset and the small group of tiny lavender butterflies that collect like fairies on a dirt mountain road...

I love you more than stars and moons...the shooting galaxies...the gold of the Gibbis moon...the fall when leaves are painted by elves at night...the waterfall that roars from a distance then cries when you're up close...

I love you more than rocking on a porch perched high on a mountain with the birds circling below...the oceans of colors and moving wonders...the first catch of a Rainbow trout when the season opens...

I love you more than all the mysteries of our earth and the rain that soothes after a humid afternoon...and the rough tongue of a new puppy licking my cheeks...I love you...
