Poem

Female Frailty

Visions of female frailty
Danced in your head
As you opened the door to leave

You expected, at least
A mass of emotion
Clamoring at your feet

What nerve I had
Standing strong
In the face of your departure

Watching the shock
I held back
The smile tugging my lips

Broke my heart, really
You did so look forward
To my demise

Quite the ego you employ
Expecting me to break
Like Tiffany Glass!
